After reading mixed reviews on other forums, I am unsure as to whether I should write an addendum for an LSAT disparity. In my case, I’m a non traditional student that hasn’t taken a standardized test in 11 years, so I needed to “get back on the horse”. I prepped for the September LSAT, albeit not as much as I should have. The reason I didn’t prep as hard as I could have was because I had just gotten married, bought a house, and started a new job. I felt like it was important for me to take the test because I needed to see what it was like and establish a benchmark for myself. So I did, and it didn’t go well. Nerves were an issue for me and I got a 141. Ouch. So I hit the books again and I prepped for December’s test and I scored a 154.
Is this disparity worth explaining? Or is it okay to leave it alone since my reasoning isn’t truly compelling? Thank you!
