Complete Question Explanation
(The complete setup for this game can be found here: lsat/viewtopic.php?t=16109)

The correct answer choice is (A)

As established in the diagram for question #14 above, if Lara wishes to purchase exactly two types of food, she must buy an F and either an S or an H (remember, from the sixth rule she cannot buy a P, and from the second rule H and S cannot be purchased together). Therefore, the correct answer choice is (A).

Hi, I understand why A is correct but I don’t understand why E is incorrect. Both L and N will be buying a fruit cup per the rules. Could you please explain why is E wrong?

Thanks for the question, KSL! The key to eliminating answer E is the word "exactly". While it's true that L and N must both buy a fruit cup in this local scenario, it is possible that they both also buy a hot dog. That means that while they must buy at least one kind of food in common, they don't have to get exactly one kind in common. It could be two!
