Hi Dimi,

This question hinges entirely on the third rule. Of the Vivaldi group, 2 concertos will always be in and 1 will alway be out. So there's really only three possible ways that the V group can turn out, depending on which concerto is out.

In: X, Y
Out: Z

In: Z, Y
Out: X

In: X, Z
Out: Y

Now, the third rule says that if X is in, Z is out, so that means the last scenario is not possible. What are we left with? The in group is either going to be [X, Y] or it's going to be [Z, Y]. Either way, Y is always in.

Hope that helps!
Beth
