Dear Powerscore,

prior to publication of Prep Test series by LSAC, what were the standard practice for LSAT students prior to June 1991 (I always were dying to know how past test takers prepared LSAT) . Also let's say if any future test takers can obtain any lsat helping testing material dates prior to june 1991 (prep test #1), do you guys recommend any students to utilizing it.

Lathlee, I am sure there were some publicly available test prep materials back then, but even if you could find them now I would not suggest attempting to utilize them, as they would be way out of date and designed for a different variation of the test. For example, going back to the late 1980s the test included a section on "Dispute Characterization" that is no longer part of the test. Studying it would be of no value to you today. Stick with the resources from the modern era of the LSAT, as those are the ones that are most applicable to the test you will face. The test has evolved over the years, so although there haven't been any radical changes in the last 27 years (unless you count the advent of Comparative Reading in June 2007, or the first time they spread the games out over two facing pages in June 2012), newer tests are more along the lines of what to expect than older tests are.

Stick with the modern stuff. Don't waste time and effort rummaging through the dustbin of LSAT history.
