Hi there, I'm almost finished the entire Powerscore 4 month study plan with about a month and a half till game day. A family friend offered to pay for me to take a prep course (preferably more advanced than basic) before June. Does anyone know of any good or reputable ones in the Toronto area? Advanced, in-class courses or even private preferred. Thanks.

Hi Mark!

Thanks for the question! PowerScore is offering an In Person Course in Toronto starting in May that ends directly before the June exam. :) You can view more details here: The PowerScore LSAT Course | Toronto, ON | Tue/Thu/Sat | 5/1/18 - 6/9/18.

This class is comprehensive, so it will be a great complement to the self-studying you've already done. Each lesson is generally divided into two or three topics. For example, you might start by focusing on Logical Reasoning Weaken questions and end by discussing grouping games and game theory from the Analytical Reasoning section. For each lesson there will be coinciding homework to keep you on track towards your goal score as you study outside of class. You can view our full course syllabus here.

You receive course books with this class, but they are different than the Bibles you've already gone through. You'll also receive access to our Online Student Center, where you can review additional course supplements and information, including drills, practice tests, practice test scoring, additional videos taught by our top instructors, and concept guides.

I hope this helps! We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about this course (or about any of our other courses or private tutoring, which is also an option!) so please let us know if you have further questions. :-D

Hey Mark - jumping in here to follow up on Stephanie's comments, and to offer a one-on-one consultation to discuss some of these options if you're interested! Sounds like you have a few different paths to potentially follow, from regular classes to tutoring to our Advanced Courses, so if you'd like to discuss them over a phone call I suspect we'll be able to figure out exactly what your best bet is and get you all set up.

You can reach me via email at jdenning@powerscore.com to set up a time, or if you're free this afternoon I'm available: give the office a ring at 800-545-1750 and ask for me and we'll have you on your way in no time!

Hi Jon, sorry for the late reply. I just have one question about the in-person courses: 1) Does it include full-length proctored practice tests like many other courses? I didn't see any on the syllabus, and it seems like they would be extremely helpful in getting over test nerves.

Hi Mark!

Not sure you and Jon were able to connect privately, so I'm going to jump in here just in case. :) Yes, with the In Person Course there will be four proctored practice exams given throughout the course. You will be taking those practice tests just like you would on test day, so that will definitely help ease some of that test anxiety!

Thanks!
