Please help!

In the example on Restrictions on page 43, why can't D or E be visited second? I know I'm missing the obvious but I've read it a few times and just can't see it.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Frassy,

In that example, the third space does have a D/E dual option, but that doesn't mean that D or E can't be second. If D is third, E could be second, and if E is third, D could be second.

I hope that's helpful--let me know whether that's clear--thanks!

Hi Steve,

Thanks so much for your response, I guess I'm still a bit unclear because the example states, at the very bottom of page 43, that D or E must be visited third.....

Hi Frassy,

In answer to your original question, D or E could be second (and thus, there is no D or E Not Law under space 2).

In response to your followup, the D/E dual-option means that one of D and E must be third. Once that condition is satisfied, the other one can move into another space (such as the second space).

Does that help? Please let me know. Thanks!
