I didn't figure out all the patterns, but the way I was able to quickly answer this question was: M with r in dance 1 leaves K/L to be with the trs pattern, and with the Ks rule in dance 1 or 2, this means that L has to be with s in dance 3 and therefore L is with the trs pattern. And that gave me the right answer.

Zen, that's a great strategy for this one if you didn't see the patterns up front. The question tells us that Miguel partners with Rita in dance 1. Karl cannot partner with her in dance 2, because that would mean he partners with Sarah in 3, which violates our first rule. That must mean Karl partners with Rita in dance 3, and Luis partners with her in dance 2. Answer choice (D) states Luis partners with Rita in 2, which we just showed had to be true.
