Hi! Just received score from June LSAT and was not what I expected (have been consistently scoring 168-169 on PTs and got a 164. Registered for July test as a backup and wondering if it is worth the retake? Is the score difference too minimal? Is there too much risk in retaking so soon after this one? (when looking at pdfs on LSAC I did significantly worse in RC than ever before and thinking it was just a fluke that won't happen again if I retake?)
Don't want to wait until September so unsure of whether I should keep the 164 or try again - send advice if you have any!

A 5 point difference is definitely worth a retake, eliza5109! Have you been studying since the June test, or did you take those three weeks off completely? If you've been studying, then there is a good chance that you are already in a position to do much better than you did. If not, then take a practice test and get back on the horse right away to shake off the cobwebs. Establish a regular and vigorous study routine that will have you in top form for July, and then crush it. You know you are capable of doing better, so why not go for it? It can't hurt and could help, a lot. 5 points can mean the difference between getting in and not, or between getting a scholarship or not. Go get those points!
