Do I need to factor in the fact that an item was removed from scoring when taking a practice test? Or is that just trivial?

It's trivial. When an item was removed from scoring, they pulled that question prior to scores being calculated. People on the real test administration saw it (and likely spent time on it), but once the question is pulled, they readjust the scoring scale to account for the removed question. So you can just ignore it entirely.

But didn't the actual test have question, so it took some time for the test-takes to answer it?

Right...that was the exact point I made in my answer. But there is no way to replicate that, so what can you do? Nothing :lol: Since the question wasn't subsequently counted, when you encounter it in a practice test, simply ignore it because there is no question there. You can't re-create a missing past.

Yeah but in effect you're giving yourself extra time (compared to those who took the real test) to complete the section.

Why can't you replicate it? Pause for like 30 seconds at the question.

Not much point. Don't worry about making the practice test duplicate the conditions of the original test - just use it as an opportunity to practice what you need to practice, whether it's applying the concepts and strategies of our course, or getting used to using a No. 2 pencil and a mickey mouse watch, or tuning out the distractions of wherever it is you're taking the test. Use it as a chance to feel what 35 minutes feels like, and to improve your speed and accuracy at bubbling in the answers on your test sheet. Might your score be artificially inflated due to that item being removed? Maybe, but if so it's not enough to worry about. Don't break your rhythm or allow yourself to become distracted by it - just let it go and move on.
