Hello,

I'm retaking the LSAT on Saturday. I took the September one and scored 6 points lower than my highest PT. Since I got the September result, I only took 2 full practice again, but I did a fair amount of logical reasoning questions and tried to focus on LR only since I missed almost 21 questions on September. I did an LR section today (PT83 -S1) and I had to guess on 6 questions surprisingly. It never happened to me before, and I am panicking before Saturday. I know I should have prepared more, but full-time school and part-time job made it so hard to do more than questions as I would be do tired on weekends. I have
a 4.00 and 3.95 in combined GPAs, professors that were absolutely delighted to write my letters, and a strong personal statement, so I wanted to apply to a top school, but it seems like for some reason my LSAT is pushing me back and it is frustrating since I've been doing it on and off since February, took a 2-month course, and did a total of 19 full PTs and hundreds of LSAT questions. Top schools have a deadline of Feb 1 and I don't wanna delay one year, so January2019 is not an option for me since I won't get the results until Feb 7. Please Any advice in here?

Thank you,
S

Clarification:
My highest PT till now was a 163 - scored 155 on the real thing in September. Aiming at a 168.

Thank you

Hi Ssouki,

January will actually work for you: every school in the T100 accepts the results of the January LSAT! I know because we called them all and spoke directly to their admissions offices :-D See here for the details: Top 100 Law School LSAT Deadlines: Is March Too Late?.

I don't see the lack of study as a big deal, to be honest. Breaks from the LSAT often help, as per Why Breaks From The LSAT Can Increase Your Score. It sounds more like it's the anxiety of doing well on a test that perhaps gave you more problems than you expected, given your GPA?

Regardless, I'd likely delay November and take January. If you walk into the test in two days strongly feeling things won't go well, there's basically no chance of a surprise reversal of fortune and things turning out well. So, I'd rather see you plan out a new angle of attack for January and give it a shot then.

Hopefully there's some good news in there re: January!
