Hi Dear LSAT masters:

I am confused with the wording in the stimulus. It says "nonhostile witness Q, R, U, X, Y, and Z will each be interviewed exactly once for a full morning or afternoon. Doesn't that mean all 6 witnesses need to be interviewed either in all morning or all afternoon? I don't see how it would be possible to fulfill this requirement with the available slots. Please help me understand by correcting my misunderstanding. Thank you!

Hi Gen2871,

I think you are missing the word "each" when you are trying to understand this sentence. It means that each of those nonhostile witnesses gets 1 full morning or afternoon slot. So Q has a slot that is either in the morning or the afternoon, R has a slot that is either in the morning or afternoon, etc. If you find you have trouble understanding logic game rules, the key is to read slowly and check your understanding as you go.

I hope this helps!
