Crazy question

Hi, I've been hearing a lot lately that because of the drop in applicants the chances of admissions are somewhat higher for the top 14 law schools.
Now here's the crazy question... Can it hurt (besides financially) to simply apply to all the top 14 schools?
I understand that if my LSAT isn't in that range it would be smart to apply to schools that are more in my range, but can it hurt to try?

Hey operasinger,

If you are financially able to apply to all T14 schools, there really isn't anything that's "crazy" or "wrong" about it. It never hurts to try and see if you can gain admittance to a school where your numbers don't really stack up--every year, each of these schools admit applicants that don't quite have the numbers but have other qualities that made them stand out. I'm not sure if you were thinking that there might be some other negative associated with applying to all T14 schools. If there is, please be sure to leave a follow up comment with specific questions, and I'm glad to answer them.

To quickly address another point you bring up, though: Definitely make sure to apply to schools where your numbers give you a good shot of acceptance. Hanging all your hopes on T14 schools when you don't have the numbers isn't a sound application strategy; make sure you have some safety and target schools in your plan, as well.

Well if you can afford then there should not be a problem. Do not think that it is crazy question. Keep it mind that keep trying is one the best way to achieve your goal you ma get admitted in one of those schools. Best of luck for your success.
