Does anyone have feedback regarding warming up with a passage or game before doing a preptest? I feel like doing a game+passage a night is enough to keep the skills stable so I wondered if adding to that by doing a game+passage an hour or two before sitting for a preptest or exam may be a good idea as a sort of "warm up" I'm going to give it a try regardless, however, I was curious if anyone had feedback about specific types of passages or games (i.e. go w/ easy game or passage v. go with challenging one) In addition, what are the general thoughts on doing this before the actual exam or sustaining this practice through the final week of the exam?

Hey Coral,

Typically, when administering a practice test on myself, I have found that my performance tends to get better as I move through each section, so I have been experimenting by introducing a logic game and a couple logical reasoning questions in my warm up. I am still working out what works best for me, as far as: when should I start the "warm up" (Is it better to have some set amount of time between the end of warm up and start of PT, if so, how much?), the combination of warm up materials (RC passage? what type? 2-3 LR questions? what type? 1 LG? what type?)

Here is a blog that speaks more about this, my suggestion is to explore what works best for you! :)

I have noticed something similar, with the exception of LR. I do better on LG and RC if it's later in the section. LR is different for me, I also consisentry score about 2 to 3 points worse on the second LR section which I find a little odd.

Thanks a lot for sharing!
