This is concerning the correct answer choice (A), and if there is a more effective way of reading the language:

"This strategy lacks a counterproductive feature of the rejected alternative"

Can the "lacks" and "counter" be modified, in terms of, double-negation, this strategy has a productive feature of the rejected alternative?

So, the pricing high strategy has the "exclusivity" feature of the pricing low strategy. No, that cannot be right. Therefore, the pricing high strategy lacks the non-exclusivity feature of the pricing low strategy?

You've got this right—that does not work!

In clearer English (which they chose not to use, intentionally), the answer would read: "This strategy lacks a bad feature of the strategy they didn't choose" or "The other feature has a really bad thing that this strategy does not have."
