Complete Question Explanation
(The complete setup for this game can be found here: lsat/viewtopic.php?t=3405)

The correct answer choice is (D)

If X does not respond to F, then from the fourth rule W does not respond to F. To comply with the third rule, then, Z must respond to F:

Thus, answer choice (D) is correct.

I chose C as the answer and I am not sure why it's not correct.

I understand your explanation of answer D, but I just don't get it why answer C is not right.

If X does not respond to ferromycin and from the fifth rule it doesn't respond to ganocyclene also. So, the only antibiotic left for X is heptocillin.

Please help. Thanks.

Hi asmbok001,
I think you may be interpreting the 5th rule incorrectly. It states: (If) F ---> (Then) G which does not mean that if F is not there then G is not there. That would be a mistaken negation (you need to reverse and negate to get a contra-positive).
Hope that helps!
