I’ve been working on completing the practice problems in the Logical Reasoning Question Type Training, Volume 1. Could you walk me through how to attach Question #2 and Question #4?

Q2: I selected answer choice C. The correct answer choice is D. I eliminated choice D because it stated, “...and has unsurpassed military power...” Is C incorrect because just by failing to attack a country doesn’t necessarily have to believe they could not withstand a retaliatory attack?

Q4: I selected answer choice A. The correct answer choice is C. I had answer choices B, D, and E all eliminated, but chose the wrong answer ultimately. Is A incorrect because we are not sure what would happen if a business did not introduce variety into its computer operating systems? I eliminated answer choice C because the second half of the answer says that it “will not have protected every computer from viral invasion.” I thought the wording was too strong compared to that of the stimulus, so chose answer choice A.

Any help or direction you could provide would be most appreciated. I’m trying to attack the questions slowly at this point in my prep so I can ensure accuracy but these have me stumped.

Hi Emily,

Thanks for the questions! For every LSAT question, we have connected all explanations and discussions into specific areas connected with the test each question comes from. So, these questions have their explanations elsewhere in the Forum, at:

Let's start with those explanations and see if they answer your questions (I think they will as both questions have lengthy official explanations from us).

Also, the book site has a full answer key which lists the source of every question, making it easy to find the discussion for each here :-D

Thanks!
