Thanks for the help. The second part of my diagramming wasn't meant to be a contrapositive, but rather the second half of the stimulus. I should have been more clear.
I hadn't thought to diagram the false belief in UFOs as just one long causal chain. I assume I don't have to? I see that Steve's diagram of the author's flawed argument looks similar to mine. Though, I should have used "mistaken belief" or "false belief."
Based on your response, it sounds like my thought processes for what separates A and B was correct. A contains the similar mistaken or false belief that we see in the stimulus, whereas B does not do this.
