If you are reading this, you are one person of many that has played a significant role in my journey, and continues to, maybe in spirit or perhaps more directly. I want to take this time, on this day, to express my gratitude for all that I have received from you, and to share with you where I am, what I am looking forward to, and encourage you to reach out to your friend, family member, partner, co-worker and/or acquaintance and share with them the grace that you feel they have brought to you on your journey.
We must honor ourselves and each other, and this is my way of doing that. You may have provided me a shoulder to cry on, a warm smile to lift my spirit, shared a moment with me, offered guidance, pointed out my frequent errors, enjoyed a conversation, or stood your ground with me holding the space between us, developing respect and admiration for one another. These elements have brought me continual inspiration.
When I have moments of self-doubt, I am reminded of the virtues that many of you helped reaffirm in me, such as: commitment, dedication, determination, loyalty, patience, persistence, resilience, and being steadfast.
On that note – I am stoked to announce that Quinnipiac University School of Law has graciously invited me to study with them. I am honored, and it is with immense conviction that I set my sights on developing the proper foundation of legal training, so that I may share those gifts with the world, in my way.
