This is the second time I apply to Harvard law. I improved my LSAT score significantly and decided to try again. I applied on the first day and they sent me a status check link. I know that it takes time for my application to be marked as “complete” (last year it took about 10 days), what troubles me though is that I can open and “manage” my application. I can fill information about my LSAT scores, employment, sign application etc. I didn’t do anything like that last year, but I don’t remember such option on the status check page.

Do I need to fill something in on their website for my application to be compete, after I applied though LSAC?

And also they say on their website they say that when you reapply you need to submit new application, updated resume and a new personal statement. Can I submit the same personal statement I did last year? Or do I need to write an entirely new one?

Help please!!!

Hi Marikora,

Thanks for the message! First, I doubt you have to resubmit info to Harvard that is already in your LSAC report, but you should double-check with Harvard directly on this. They are the ones who can tell you what they want :)

Second, I would at least update and refresh your personal statement. Submitting the exact same personal statement (which didn't work last time) is risky, and the committee will wonder why nothing changed in your status in the last year. You've improved your LSAT score,s o go back to your PS and see if there isn't something there that can be improved. Is a whole new one necessary? No, but make sure the one you have is flawless.

Thanks!
