This is in regards to Linear Base Representation Diagramming Drill 6.

Why aren’t the variables together when it says they are couples? Also why aren’t the seats grouped since it says the couples are sitting together?

Hi Law,

Thanks for the questions. For clarity, we always separate individual questions into separate threads otherwise it becomes a mess inside the thread. So, we separated your questions into three different threads.

Hmm, let's look carefully at what the prompt says. Does it say each couple sits together as a pair? No, It simply says "Three couples attend a concert together." At that point, they can sit in any order. Imagine if you went to a concert (I like a dinner party as a better example but those are usually around a table, not in a row) as part of three couples. The guys and girls might sit together in groups of three, you might sit next to other friends, or maybe you sit as a pair with your couple. But there are options there and no rule that says each couple sits as an immediate pair. Don't read "couple" to mean they also sit next to each other!

Thanks!
