This game is also discussed in our Podcast, at the 14:37 mark: LSAT Podcast Episode 37: The November 2019 LSAT Logic Games Section
Complete Question Explanation
(The complete setup for this game can be found here: https://forum.powerscore.com/lsat/viewtopic.php?t=31706)
The correct answer choice is (C)
If T is not trained in month 2, it may not be immediately apparent what happens as a result. A quick check of the solution to #1 shows that T was trained in month 2 there, so that solution is of no help here. If nothing jumps out to you from this question stem, then, your choice is to make hypotheticals or to come back to this question later after gaining more information from other questions and their solutions.
The latter approach is typically our preferred method for solving situations like this especially when it occurs so early in the game, and indeed the solution to #3 quickly shows that (C) can occur.
The alternative is to make some solutions that conform to the question stem, and then use those hypotheticals. Here are two quick examples:
Answer choice (A): This answer choice can never occur since it would force T to be trained in month 2.
Answer choice (B): This answer choice can never occur since there would be no agent to be trained in month 7.
Answer choice (C): This is the correct answer. The bottom hypothetical shows how this could occur.
Answer choice (D): This answer choice can never occur since it would force T to be trained in month 2.
Answer choice (E): This answer choice can never occur since it would force T to be trained in month 2 or alternately leave no room for the QT block.
