Hello!

I'm looking for some advice. I'm prepping for the June LSAT (I was initially scheduled for April and now find myself with a lot of extra time to study!) and am leaning towards purchasing the online accelerated course.

I took the LSAT in February and scored a 143. I took an online Kaplan course back in December and have access to Kaplan's online review materials through the end of August. My last practice test (end of February) came out to a 147. I have already submitted applications to 14 law schools, and am hopeful that I will score in the 155-160 range to remain competitive for Fall 2020 admission.

In the past, I have worked with a private Kaplan tutor, who has helped me come up with a two-month study plan for the June exam. I'm currently reviewing LSAT basics on my own and recently purchased a copy of PowerScore's LR Bible. I'm just looking to approach my prep a little differently this time.

So, I'm wondering if the accelerated course is the best option for me right now. I really want to make sure I have all the fundamentals down pat before I work on my timing and more advanced topics. I've listened to Dave Killoran and Jon Denning's podcast a couple of times, and I absolutely love their approach and how up-to-date they are on all things LSAT.

Let me know what works best and if you have any other recommendations!

Thanks,
Enrique

Hi Enrique,

Thanks for the message, and thanks for listening to the podcast—we appreciate it!

The information you've provided here is helpful, and I'd probably suggest you head more towards the On Demand course or the regular Live Online class. The Accelerated course is far more basic than either of those two options, and given that your background includes some extensive studying with a different system, I don't think our most basic and shortest course is what you need, and that's especially so with where you are scoring currently. To break into the mid 150s and higher, you will need more course work and techniques, not less imho :-D So, that's the direction I'd head in if I was in your shoes. Does that makes sense?

Please let me know if this helps. Thanks!
