Hello - I'm scheduled to take the August Flex and am trying to understand the visual and audio format/experience. Not that it changes anything, but it would just be nice to know what to expect.

What do you see on your screen when the proctor is watching you? Do you have to see a picture/video of them (distracting!) or is it just a matter of them being able to see you? And do you constantly hear them in the background or do they mute themselves? Do they try to talk to you during that one minute break between sections?

thank you!

hey so i took the July this past Sunday. I was also worried about this, however, it is just a small chat box in which you can reduce or enlarge in size. When you begin the exam the chat box is minimized, and can be brought back up when you need to communicate with the proctor with a problem. But the interface for the exam is the exact same as the preptests that are offered to you by LSAC on your LawHub page. I would suggest you take a couple practice tests on LSAC's lawhub to get the feel of it, if you have not done so already!

Good luck!

Perfect, thank you! That's really helpful. I'd been concerned that there would be a FaceTime-like box I'd be forced to stare at! Appreciate the insight.

No problem!
Also forgot to mention the 1 minute breaks, they do not talk to your verbally at all (it's quiet the entire time)
and you can actually begin the next section if you do not wish to take the whole 1 minute break!

Hi!

Thank you both for the posts :). Just to add to this, below are all the Podcasts Dave and Jon have dedicated to the Flex exam (starting with the most recent). These may help add some clarity as well. Thanks!
