Hi Sdaoud17,

In that one, the author uses the last paragraph to point out that any of the three theories can be supported if you look at the right set of statistics.

The "better test," the author provides, would to be to look for a correlation between these economic indicators and press reports of these movement-initiated events.

Unfortunately, none of the three theories are supported by this better test, leading us to answer choice B; based on the author's "better test," there is no way to know if one of the theories is any more accurate that the others (in other words it's a three-way tie for non-correlation).

It's great if you happen to notice the right answer, but sometimes the process of elimination is a more efficient way to go. The test doesn't confirm any of the three theories, but it doesn't prove that it's impossible to apply the theories either. Nor does the test indicate bias or verify progress.

I hope that's helpful--please let me know whether that clears this one up.

On a related note, how have you been preparing? Books, courses, PrepTests?

Let me know--thanks!

~Steve
