Does anyone have a good suggestion as to how long of a study break is beneficial after taking an LSAT? I took the February flex and am signed up for the April flex-- I'm wondering if I should break from studying until I get the score release on March 10th or get right back to it this week.

Hi Sam,

If I were in your shoes, I'd take a short break, but I wouldn't break from studying for the whole time until the March 10 score release. Taking a few days (up to a maximum of about a week) off is what I'd recommend to most of my students to help recharge their batteries. And some of my students have found it helpful (for their own energy level and motivation) to ramp down the volume of their studying just a bit until scores come out. For example, if you determine that your skills are still "sharp" by taking a practice test or two during the week (assuming you're hitting scores at or above what you'd be happy with on the eventual April exam), then you might decide that you don't need to hit the books quite as hard before March 10. But a "cold turkey" break until the 10th is not a great strategy. And ideally you should take about 3-7 days off then get back to the routine you were in prior to the February test.

I hope this helps!
