Complete Question Explanation
(The complete setup for this game can be found here: lsat/viewtopic.php?f=179&p=88386#p88386)

The correct answer choice is (B).

If L is the seventh valve opened, then I must be the last valve opened:

Thus, I cannot be the second valve opened, and answer choice (B) cannot be true and is correct.

Good afternoon,

Wouldn't the following hypothetical: K,I,P,N,H,O,G,L allow for I to be the second valve opened?

I wasn't sure why this was the correct answer,

thank you!

Best,

Basia

Basia,

The local condition requires L to be the 7th valve opened, so that hypothetical is not valid. Given the local condition and that 6 valves need to be opened before L (G, O, H, K, P, and N), there is only one valve left that can be opened 8th, so it needs to be I.
