Need to Calm My Nerves about Lower Third Test

Hello,

I just got my test results back from the June test and I scored a 167, significantly lower than my practice tests (all but one were 175+ for a month and a half leading up to the test). This is my third take and previously I scored a 168 and 172 in that order. I know you have addressed a lot that law schools only use the highest test score, but I'm concerned that since I dropped 5 points back to the score range I was at a few months ago, it will make admissions committees have doubts about my 172 when they review my application. I'm pretty disappointed my results didn't match my PTs and am hoping for some reassurance that this won't affect my application or for some advice about how to manage the damage.

Hi HCS!

I'm sorry this happened to you, but the good news is that law schools just don't care--they only care about the high score. I wouldn't suggest doing anything here unless you can't point to some type of technical issue or other external factor that caused your score. As in, it doesn't need to be explained but if you have a great explanation for what happened, then use it.

So, I'd mostly ignore this and do your best to let it go!
