Because the earliest that T could appear is 4th, from the third rule R must be 3rd. At this point it appears that the PTW block could be 4-6 or 5-7. But, if the block is 4-6, then there is no way to fit the RS block in and still conform to the remaining rules. Thus, the PTW block must be in 5-7:
With that block placed, the remaining variables are Q, S, and U. Because S must be next to R from the fourth rule, we can make two templates based on the position of S:
R must always have an earlier appointment than P, and accordingly answer choice answer choice (D) must be true and is correct.
