Hello!

I selected D but then switched to C. I wasn't sure "vehicle" had a peripheral meaning; I believed it only had a core meaning. I interpreted the passage to say bicycles have the peripheral meaning of "vehicle." From the passage: '"Vehicle" has a core of meaning which includes cars and motorcycles. But, Hart claims, other vehicles, such as bicycles, fall within the peripheral meaning of "vehicle," so that the law does not establish whether they are prohibited." Probably over thinking, but further insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Noodles,

Not overthinking here - the support for answer choice (D) is exactly as you described. We can't say answer (C) is correct, because 'vehicles' doesn't just have a core meaning according to the passage. Instead, there is a core meaning as well as a peripheral meaning - i.e. bicycles. Good job!
