I was caught up in the convoluted language in (C) - "Job applicants are no more entitled to withhold information that is requested on application forms than they are entitled to lie on such application forms." What does "no more ... than ..." mean? Does it indicate positive, as in "just as much entitled as" or negative, as in "entitled to neither"? Thanks!

Hi blade,

Answer choice (C) is describing a principle that suggests that if job applicants shouldn't lie on application forms, then they shouldn't withhold information that's required either.

We are looking for a principle about how the job applicants should act, and one that supports the idea that they don't have to disclose their marriage. Answer choices (A) and (B) can be quickly eliminated because they are about what the corporation should or should not do. Answer choice (D) can be eliminated because it says the applicants shouldn't accept the position. Answer choice (E) is the only answer choice that defends the applicant's choice to not disclose their marriage.

Hope that helps!
