I just took this test today so if someone could look over my setup, it would help me (and other students) a lot!

I did NOT split the board because there appeared to be many possibilities and I was hoping the questions would help me along. I wrote out the slots, one for each variable, and so ended with five in total and I put I/F next to the top layer. I then wrote out the rules:

/FF I didn't represent the rule as FI with a switch on top because it could still be II

S-O-R
/P3--->PF block
V-R--->OF block

That looks perfect to me, ashpine, and as much as I enjoy doing templates, I didn't do them for this game. I did just what you did, except that I also wrote out the contrapositives of those conditional rules:

If P is Irrigated (a PI vertical block), then P is 3rd

If O is Irrigated (an OI vertical block), then R is before V

Hey folks! When i completed this section, this game took me almost 13 minutes while the others were all 5 min 52 sec (game 1), 8 minutes and 58 seconds (game 2), and 7 minutes and 34 seconds (game 4).

In your opinion, do you think this game was the hardest of the section? I ask so I can figure out if there's something else I could've done to speed through this game and the questions or if the time breakdown hints at flaws. Thank you for your help!

While your time here was on the higher end, it's not surprising this was the slowest game of the section. It's typical that if a game has a very slow or difficult game, the rest of the games will be on the easier/medium end to even out the section. The sections are designed to take 35 minutes, so you are unlikely to see a games section with ALL time-consuming games, or with ALL easy, fast games. You'll get a bit of a balance like this. It's part of why I really recommend thinking about timing as a whole, instead of worrying about timing on a game-by-game basis. Some games are absolutely designed to take longer than average, while others are absolutely designed to be faster than average. A game like this one, with very few inferences, is going to involve a lot of local questions that will be time-consuming.

Generally speaking, in the games, your goal should be to save the game that will be most time-consuming (if there is one) for the last game. That way you don't spend any more time than you have left on that game. It keeps it from throwing off the rest of your section.
