Hi Team - may I know why Answer Choice C is incorrect? given that "K is advsetised during one of the first two weeks" - K cannot be advertised during two of the weeks as it violates the 2nd rule.

Because K CAN be advertised twice, christinecwt! It could be in weeks 1 and 4, or in weeks 2 and 4. The rule does not say that it is ONLY advertised in one of the first two weeks.

Gabe is absolutely correct, Christine. Just because K must be in the first two weeks doesn't mean it can't also be in week 4. In fact, we know whichever variable is used twice must be in the first two weeks, as it cannot be in week 3. The double must be in weeks 1 and 4 or 2 and 4. The K rule is consistent with it either being the doubled variable or not.

G however cannot be the doubled variable. G must either be with J or O. If G is the doubled variable, then it must be with O in one case and J in the other, otherwise the O/J would be used twice as well. However, O is already placed in week 3. We know that G cannot be on week 3 if it is the doubled variable, because the doubled variable is not on week 3. That would mean that if G is doubled, there wouldn't be anyone for G to be paired with. G could be paired with J in one week, but then no one in the other week.
