I started with the Trainer and it gave me a nice foundation. I went through 7 practice tests and decided I was ready to dive deeper into LG. I felt I had a really solid grasp, but was still struggling with timing and missing very key inferences.
I took a break from PT's and opened the LG Bible. I worked through the end of chapter three. I know this is only covering Basic Linear games, but dear Lord! I have already learned some things that I didn't even know were giving me trouble.
Things I like so far:
The author seems to put an extreme emphasis on distributions. This is excellent information I've been looking for as distributions are not covered in depth in the Trainer. Does it go deeper into this later?
He has real, tangible advice for making inferences. He tells you when to look out for certain inferences. I REALLY liked the truth, validity, and falsity section. It was a wild ride, but at the end...I got it....well most of it. I realized how much time I actually spent deciphering things like "Each of the following cannot be false except:"
So, after the first real section, the most basic section, I am very excited to continue. I'm really happy with it and I tore through 100 pages and didnt even realize it.
Thanks for reading. Any tips with the book or comments? I have the LG workbook to do after I finish the Bible. Then practice, over and over and over!
