I started with the Trainer and it gave me a nice foundation. I went through 7 practice tests and decided I was ready to dive deeper into LG. I felt I had a really solid grasp, but was still struggling with timing and missing very key inferences.

I took a break from PT's and opened the LG Bible. I worked through the end of chapter three. I know this is only covering Basic Linear games, but dear Lord! I have already learned some things that I didn't even know were giving me trouble.

Things I like so far:

The author seems to put an extreme emphasis on distributions. This is excellent information I've been looking for as distributions are not covered in depth in the Trainer. Does it go deeper into this later?

He has real, tangible advice for making inferences. He tells you when to look out for certain inferences. I REALLY liked the truth, validity, and falsity section. It was a wild ride, but at the end...I got it....well most of it. I realized how much time I actually spent deciphering things like "Each of the following cannot be false except:"

So, after the first real section, the most basic section, I am very excited to continue. I'm really happy with it and I tore through 100 pages and didnt even realize it.

Thanks for reading. Any tips with the book or comments? I have the LG workbook to do after I finish the Bible. Then practice, over and over and over!

Hi LSATHelpWanted,

Glad you are enjoying the book so far :) I'll let others comment in more detail about your questions, but I did want to address the portion above. YES, there is more coming on distributions. there is an entire section in a later chapter on distributions, how to identify them, how to make them, etc. What I do early in the book is preview ideas—I bring them up now in a soft format so that later when we hit the theory it will make sense much more quickly (and seem less foreign).

We're always here to help if you have questions. Thanks!

Hey! I used all of the Powerscore bibles and wow... they are awesome!!!! On my first diagnostic test I got 3 correct in the logic games section. I have been studying for 4 months and after reading the LG bible all the way through, I consistently get a 100% on the games sections. My suggestion is to stick with it and continue reading all the way through! And definitely take a few days in between each type of game introduced (ie: Basic Linear, Advanced Linear, Pure Sequencing, Grouping, etc.) to practice with those specific games. :)

Hello there, Mr. Killoran! I greatly appreciate the personal response and welcome!

One of my best friends studied your Bible trilogy in his LSAT prep, scored in the 98%, and was accepted to a Top14. Now he owns his own firm. (I just text him that you replied to my post. He said thanks for the help, Dave!) This summer, we talked about my own LSAT prep for this upcoming year and his recommendations immediately went to the PS Bibles. So, even though he only scored in the 98%, (I mean really bro, come on you couldn't get one more measly percentile point?) I guess he was worth listening to.

In all seriousness, thank you for making your self-study PS Bibles so reasonably priced. I am not in a financial position to afford any tutoring or classroom instruction and I was pretty concerned that my preparation would be inferior to everyone else's and I may not reach my potential. I caught the sale on your website and got both the LG and LR Bibles at a price point I could meet. The amazing price and sheer volume and quality of information, man it was a steal. Then I found all the free resources on this website! My fears of being underprepared are starting to dissipate thanks to your student friendly approach. I keep eyeing that RC Bible but I really can't be opening the ole wallet for a while, but I'm gonna get there soon.

Thanks for listening to and commenting on a lowly new member's post; it's pretty neat. You and I have quite the journey ahead of us and I will no doubt be your greatest challenge yet. I faced this mountain before, and I wasn't ready. But this time, I'm coming back and I've found the ropes to climb it. To the top!

Thanks again and best of luck to you in the future.

Hi, cmorris! Thanks for your reply.

Good tip on waiting a bit and letting the new information absorb. I definitely didnt plan on chewing through over 100 pages in a sitting but I got really locked in. I can tell there will be lots of benefits in reworking the book a second, maybe even third time or more as needed. It's dense and I like it. Best of luck to you in your prep! And congrats on your improvement; that is amazing!

I definitely think the LG bible is good, especially for building a solid foundation. However, I'm a visual person and LG is a very visual process. As such, I greatly benefited from watching video breakdowns of the games, which the book obviously cannot provide. After you're done w/ the Bible, I suggest looking for video explanations to games you were confused about. The bible definitely comes in handy here because it helps you understand the fundamentals.
